Schedule

• 9am-12noon: Field trip to visit with the loons ($$) Space is limited! Pre-registration is required

• 1-4:30pm: Visit with Adirondack Loon Center staff and learn about our Adirondack loon research and conservation programs

  • Children’s crafts, games, and activities, including face painting and balloon animals by Penelope the Clown!

  • “Lila Loon” Scavenger Hunt

  • Food by Mac’s Mobile Diner and beer by Hex and Hop available for purchase

  • Decorate a Loon Gourd

  • Turn in your Lead Fishing Tackle to win a photo!

  • Last chance to get your raffle tickets for the special Hornbeck Loon Canoe! Sales end at at 2pm!

• 1:15-1:45pm: Loon Calling Contest - Show us your best wails, tremolos, hoots, and yodels to win a prize!

• 2-3pm: Presentation by Dr, Jim Paruk, author of Loon Lessons: Uncommon Encounters with the Great Northern Diver’

• 3pm: Hornbeck Loon Canoe Raffle Drawing

  • Loon-Friendly Lakes recognized

  • Lead-Tackle Buy-Back Winners announced

• 3:30-4:30pm: Music by Dan Berggren and Tyler Dezago

  • Reception

  • Silent Auction
